Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy
Effective June 1st, 2026
1. Purpose
This Minimum Advertised Price (“MAP”) Policy is established by Raffel Systems (“Raffel”) to:
• Protect the brand’s integrity and positioning of its products
• Ensure fair competition among authorized distributors and resellers
• Maintain margins across distribution channels
• Prevent price erosion in both online and offline marketplaces
2. Scope and Applicability
This MAP Policy applies to:
• All authorized distributors, dealers, resellers, and e-commerce partners
• All advertised prices for all of Raffel’s products
This policy applies to all forms of advertising, including but not limited to:
• Websites and e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Walmart, etc.)
• Digital ads (Google, social media, email marketing)
• Print ads (catalogs, mailers, coupons, etc.)
• In-store signage and promotional displays
• Other media formats (tv, radio, etc.)
3. Definition of “Advertised Price”
“Advertised Price” includes any publicly visible price, such as:
• Listed product prices
• Discounted or promotional pricing
• Coupon-adjusted visible prices
• Instant rebates shown before checkout
Important: Prices that are only revealed at checkout (e.g., “add to cart for price”) may be allowed, provided they comply with Section 6.
4. Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Levels
Raffel has established MAP pricing for its product.
• MAP pricing may be distributed via: Official price lists, distributor portals, and direct communication from Raffel
• Raffel reserves the right to: Adjust MAP pricing at any time and introduce temporary promotional MAP reductions
5. Reseller Responsibilities
Authorized resellers must:
• Advertise all products at or above MAP
• Ensure compliance across: Their own websites, marketplace listings, and third-party marketing agencies
• Monitor and enforce pricing compliance within their sales channels
6. Permissible Pricing Practices
The following are allowed under this policy:
• Actual Selling Price Flexibility: Resellers may sell products below MAP in private transactions (e.g., in-cart discounts, negotiated deals)
• “Add to Cart” or “See Price in Cart” is allowed if: The initial advertised price meets or exceeds MAP and the discount is only visible after customer action
• Non-Public Incentives: Loyalty rewards, gift cards, or rebates not explicitly tied to lowering the advertised price
7. Prohibited Practices
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
• Advertising prices below MAP, including: Strike-through pricing that suggests a lower price, automatic discount codes displayed publicly, and “Call for price” tactics that imply sub-MAP pricing
• Bundling products in a way that: Effectively reduces the advertised price below MAP
• Marketplace manipulation, including: Unauthorized resellers listing below MAP and using multiple seller accounts to circumvent policy
8. Online Marketplace Compliance
Special requirements for platforms like Amazon, eBay, Walmart:
• Listings must comply with MAP at all times
• Unauthorized sellers may be subject to: Reporting and takedown requests and distribution restrictions
9. Policy Enforcement
Raffel will unilaterally enforce this MAP Policy at its discretion:
• Raffel reserves the right to determine, in its sole judgment, whether a violation of this policy has occurred and what corrective action, if any, will be taken.
• Raffel is not obligated to provide advanced notice or issue warnings before taking action under this policy.
• Violations of this policy, whether intentional or repeated, may result in actions including, but not limited to, suspension of product shipments, reduction of supply allocation, and/or termination of the business relationship.
• Raffel reserves the right to take different enforcement actions for similar or dissimilar violations and shall not be obligated to enforce this policy uniformly.
• Raffel may utilize internal or third-party tools and resources to monitor advertised pricing; however, Raffel is not obligated to monitor all reseller activity or to identify every violation.
10. Unilateral Policy Statement
This MAP Policy is a non-negotiable, unilateral policy established by Raffel and does not constitute an agreement between Raffel and any reseller. Raffel does not seek, nor will it accept, any assurance of compliance with this policy.
• Resellers are free to: set their actual selling prices independently
11. Exceptions
MAP exemptions, which must be formally approved by Raffel, may be granted for:
• Approved seasonal promotions or clearance events
• End-of-life (EOL) product liquidation
• Special strategic programs authorized in writing
Raffel will notify partners in advance with details of promotions and exceptions. MAP will be the same as the sale price on the specified products during those particular dates.
12. No Discussion of Pricing
• Raffel personnel are not authorized to discuss MAP pricing or deviations from this policy with any reseller.
• Resellers are instructed not to contact Raffel or its representatives to discuss pricing or enforcement of this policy.
